Great revere purchase, easy over use, very good all in all camcorder

Purchased this one camera on behalf of my wife last month, then have since taken a vacation, then recorded several family gatherings. sony dcr-dvd650 video quality this one camera gives is wonderful, then creates a steady image, even with my shaky hands. The zoom range is impressive as well. Still images were great during the day, then the camera is fast. It captures the image almost immediately, better than our stand alone digital camera. The focus isn’t always dead on when you move the camera around quickly, but it recovers well enough. The reason on behalf of the 4-star rating is that this one camera didn’t offer a lot within the area of night time picture taking then video capture. The video leaves less to be desired, as the lenses capture enough light to make sense of so far as is going on, but the camera is not usable at night. Now that may have more to do with the fact that i haven’t figured out better settings, or am just completely missing a flash feature i haven’t seen, but within either case, i still need to carry around my digital camera on behalf of night shots. As a video camera, this one stock blows everything out of the water that i have ever used within the video quality department. All within all, i am happy with my purchase, then determination maybe find that the one shortfall with the stock is within fact a problem with the user (me) then not the stock.
