Bought this TV at Costco because of their 90 day return policy. Unfortunately that wasn’t quite for a specified duration: at 141 days the TV tuner’s audio function hit a brick wall (although the non transmit audio inputs nevertheless work). Even on day 1, the actual sound quality was no better than a $9 clock stereo: very thin scenario + small rear firing speakers contribute to unusually tinny sound (People, what’s the fascination with super thin cases, anyhow? It only helps to make the audio engineer’s job more difficult). In the past few weeks the photo has been flickering on / off. When the picture flickers rear on, the channel indicator comes on, which can or might not mean that the signal has been lost because the video part of the tuner is also failing. (Or my OTA antenna is not strong enough, or perhaps the Vizio’s tuner is not delicate enough. Problem is sporadic, increasing in consistency)

Regarding the internet internet streaming function, it takes A couple of.5 to 3 min’s to handshake with Netflix via both Wi-fi and hard wired Ethernet wire before a movie actually starts to play, or to restart movie playing following a long pause. By means of comparison, a Roku container feeding into the exact same TV only usually takes 20 seconds to get started on a movie via Wi-fi compatability. Additionally, the TV offers lost track of the WIFI network the three, requiring reentry a couple of times.
Positives are that the rural and case are pleasurable looking (the case can be ultra thin!), and the picture is brilliant enough when looked at straight on (there is significant light falloff when viewed above or below the actual screen’s central axis, not as poor laterally).

Too bad that TV’s reliability and functionality come up significantly short or fail in multiple classes. M221NV While many Amazon critiques report high numbers of satisfaction with the Vizio manufacturer, from here it looks like a crap shoot. Stung once, next time I’ll placed less emphasis on additional features at a low price, and look for more highly regarded brands examined on Amazon as well as ConsumerSearch. Unfortunately, detailed Television reliability data is hard to find. Maybe the next Television set will cost me another $50. Worth it.
